Consents management
Consent is an agreement with someone to take an action. For example, if workers need to access private land in order to widen a road, the landowner’s permission will have to be sought.
Consents are critical to most infrastructure projects, so early identification is advised. If a project requires consents but proceeds to construction without them, this could be a criminal offence.
Different types of work may require different types of consents, such as:
- environment
- town planning
- highways
- railway and
- property consents.
These are all discussed in this section.
