Maintenance and repairing obligations

The section on Gas and electrical safety has been thoroughly overhauled and expanded.

Photographing property

This section has been updated with up-to-date pricing information.

Property and safety standards

This section has been updated to reflect The Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm (Amendment) Regulations 2022.

Residential property licensing

The most heavily updated parts of this section include HMO management regulations, Criminal offences and civil penalties and RROs under the Housing and Planning Act 2016.

Short-term lettings

This section has been updated after the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 came into force on 1 December 2022.

Tenant arrears and bankruptcy

This section has seen a major overhaul of the Possession claims subsection.

Taking deposits

This section has been updated to reflect the changes in legislation between England and Wales.
