Summary
Given the contractual basis, to which must be added the possibility of duties of care in tort, it is not surprising that contract administration has generated a large and important body of case law. It is extremely important that this should be understood by contractors who have to deal with them, by clients who depend upon them and above all by the contract administrators themselves.
