Residential property surveys
Buying a home is a significant milestone in a purchaser’s life. The inspecting surveyor should be mindful of this and take this significant responsibility seriously, ensuring that appropriate time is afforded not only during the physical inspection, but also before the inspection takes place and afterwards too.
This section identifies the differences between products, helps the surveyor to produce protocols and methodologies that will support decision-making, and offers a framework that will help produce balanced and consistent decisions appropriate for each report. The RICS Home survey standard dictates a benchmarking against the three levels of survey on offer.
This section is maintained by Adam Santos MRICS of SDL Surveying.
