John Macklin BSc, FRICS, CEnv has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, starting as a quantity surveyor before moving into project management, procurement and contracting. He has been involved in a wide range of new build and refurbishment construction including housing, sports and leisure facilities, commercial, education, defence and civil engineering projects.
John’s experience includes the role of Procurement Strategist for a large, south-coast housing association, responsible for establishing and leading the central procurement function. He was a member of the procurement work group contributing to the Zero Carbon Hub’s 'Closing the gap between design and as-built performance' study.
He has acted as counsellor to a number of successful APC and AssocRICS candidates, and also acts as PDP Assessor for MCIOB candidates.
John established Macklin Construction Consultants Limited in 2017.
