Biography

Dr Richard Fitton MRICS, MEI, MIET is a chartered building surveyor. He has a wide and extensive background in the sustainable retrofit of domestic property. This extends to the design of the solutions and the monitoring of as built energy performance.

Richard is a lecturer in the School of the Built Environment at Salford, and is also lead researcher at the unique Energy House test facility which tests and researches various retrofit solutions under laboratory conditions. Richard sits on several national and international panels concerning the measurement of the actual energy performance, as well as holding a place on the SAP Scientific Integrity Group at BRE.
