Post-retrofit evaluation
This section serves as an introduction to the post-retrofit evaluation of energy efficiency measures (EEMs) installed for domestic retrofits. It supports the final project stage outlined in the current edition of RICS’ Residential retrofit standard, which states that all installed EEMs must be evaluated to ensure that their performance meets their intended targets.
The evaluation may include:
- walk-round audits to check for unintended consequences of retrofit
- poor handiwork or snagging
- product substitutions
- monitoring of fuel consumption or
- more advanced measurements.
