Biography

Alan Crossfield is a Chartered Environmentalist, the highest level of professional qualification available to environmental practitioners and represents the highest standards of professional practice in sustainable environmental management.

Originally working for Delta-Simons from 1994-2001, Alan widened his experience by spending two years as a Principal Consultant with a large global environmental consultancy, followed by more than three years as Contaminated Land Officer for the City of Lincoln Council. 

Alan rejoined Delta-Simons in 2007, and leads the Brownfield National Accounts Unit. Alan's main areas of expertise are in contaminated land assessment within the property and M&A sectors, advising developers and institutional investors on environmental matters, including contaminated land liabilities and environmental due diligence. Alan provides a balanced technical and commercial approach to resolving brownfield issues. Alan has advised on contamination and waste matters for property acquisitions throughout the UK and Europe, partnering with Inogen Associates for international projects.

Alan is also registered to act as a Qualified Person (QP) under the Definition of Waste: Development Industry Code of Practice (C:LAIRE).
