Biography

Serena Burt manages the ongoing needs of 35 tenants across 7 houses. She is a partner in DB Property Letting agency, writes for other websites and advises fellow HMO landlords via her blog HMO Landlady. She organises and hosts legal training workshops for letting agents and landlords in the South and South East by Landlord Law (see the workshop information page).

Serena created the HMO Landlady website after realising many HMO landlords focus on yield and fail to see the realities of HMO ownership until it is too late. She hopes that sharing some of her experiences will help landlords to find solutions to their own issues.
