Residential retrofit

The current edition of RICS’ Residential retrofit standard is designed to address the increasing demand for retrofit services in the UK, where approximately 16m homes require energy efficiency improvements to meet national net-zero targets by 2050.

With the demand for skilled and regulated professionals more critical than ever, the standard establishes concise requirements and recommendations for RICS members working in the sector, with clear benchmarks for delivering tailored residential retrofit services.

This section provides guidance on the assessment (survey) stage of the retrofit process, with advice on how to apply the relevant parts of the standard.
