Licence to occupy
A licence to occupy may also create difficulties for short-term lets.
If a genuine licensor–licensee relationship is created, this allows more flexibility than a landlord–tenant relationship created by an assured shorthold tenancy. But note that the licensee’s occupation would still be afforded protection under the Protection from Eviction Act 1977....
