Infrastructure planning and development

This section identifies the different types of infrastructure systems and approaches to planning and development.

It aims to provide the reader with:

  • an overarching understanding of the main UK infrastructure sectors and their legislative processes;
  • an explanation of current infrastructure planning and development legislation;
  • a detailed introduction to the processes and procedures of the three most widely used procedures under infrastructure planning and development legislation; and
  • an analysis of the benefits and potential disadvantages of each legislative process.

This section is maintained by Paul Humphrey of Schofield Lothian.
