Jonathan Lovejoy has over 30 years of property management experience and is head of commercial surveying at British Land. He has extensive property management experience having acted for funds, asset managers and private individuals before progressing to managing and advising a wide range of assets, including setting up service charges on several large, complicated, high profile, London and regional mixed-use schemes. Through the variety of assets, Jonathan developed his interest and understanding of services charges, which led him to meet Peter Forrester – ‘the service charge expert’ and original author of the isurv section Service charges in commercial property.
In his current role, Jonathan is responsible for the team delivering management of British Land’s London mixed use, office and life science portfolios.
Jonathan sits on the British Property Federation Asset Management Committee, which led to him being nominated for the BPF seat at RICS, on the Service Charge Committee, chaired by Peter Forrester. His experience resulted in him co-authoring the 2nd edition of RICS’ Service charges in commercial property.
Jonathan also holds a voluntary position advising a charity on property matters and chairs a committee as a School Governor.
