Biography

Izeldi Loots (MSc) is the Director of JLL’s self storage valuation and advisory team. She has more than 10 years' experience in the self storage industry, having spent the last 3 years at JLL. She has been involved in self storage valuations of individual assets and portfolios across Europe, and has advised both entrepreneurial start-ups and institutions to grow platforms and enter the sector.

She has helped to establish a feasibility and benchmarking tool for JLL that overlays self storage facility locations, key operating metrics and demographic information on a mapping tool to assist clients to identify new sites for development and benchmark existing self storage facility performance.

Prior to joining JLL, Izeldi worked for a South African self storage company, Storage RSA, which was founded by her father in 2002. The company was successfully sold to a listed self storage REIT on the Johannesburg stock exchange in 2017. Izeldi obtained an MSc in property studies from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Her research was focused on the valuation of self storage properties in South Africa.
