Biography

Tom Wells BSc MSc CEnv MIEMA is the national EIA lead for Waterman Infrastructure & Environment. He specialises in EIA for large-scale development projects, with a strong track record in helping to deliver sites with complex environmental and planning policy constraints, including those in, or in proximity to, SSSIs, SPAs, SACs, Ramsar sites, AONBs, World Heritage Sites and green belt land.

Tom is also a dual assessor for IEMA, interviewing candidates applying for full membership and chartered environmentalist status. Prior to joining Waterman, he spent six years at property consultancy CBRE, where he set up and led their Environmental Planning & Assessment team. He also spent eight years as an associate lecturer in EIA at Oxford Brookes University and continues to lecture occasionally – most recently at the University of East London.
