Roland Finch, BSc FRICS ACI.Arb, is a chartered quantity surveyor with over 30 years’ construction industry experience in both the public and private sectors. He was the principal author for NBS Preliminaries and Project Management content, has written many articles on a variety of health and safety topics and is a contributor to Croner-i Health & Safety. He is the author of the NBS Guide to Tendering for Construction Projects, and the co-author of BIM for Construction Health and Safety, both published by RIBA Publishing.

Roland is a member of the RICS North East Regional Board, a former member of RICS UK QS and Construction professional group board, and a former Director of the Property Research Trust.

Richard Croxson is a Fellow of RICS and was called to the Bar in England and Wales in 2002. He has over 25 years’ experience of working on major projects in the construction and engineering industry. He specialises in analysing the causes of time and cost overruns, and attributing responsibility. He is also a specialist in delivery methods and providing procurement, commercial and contract advice for major projects around the world. Prior to founding Govericks Ltd, a specialist disputes consultancy, Richard worked for two of the leading construction consultancy firms in the UK and overseas.

Richard currently devotes most of his time to the resolution and avoidance of claims on major projects. He also uses his experience of construction disputes to ensure that projects are established correctly and in a way that minimises the risk of disputes arising.

He has developed a number of technology-driven tools to determine strategies to overcome issues arising from contract and commercial management.

Peter A. Greenhalgh MRICS is a senior quantity surveyor. He has, however, worked primarily in civil engineering contracting as an engineer (mining and civil engineering) and as a project manager. He is both a chartered civil engineer (CEng MICE) and chartered member of the Institution of Materials, Minerals and Mining (CEng MIMMM).

He has a wide breadth of experience in the costing, planning and implementation of temporary works, and in the management of their design.

Lee is a chartered surveyor who has worked the construction industry for over 20 years for both contractors and client organisations. His experience has been gained in the property, rail, water, power and nuclear energy sectors, and he has worked with many forms of contract including NEC, PPC2000, JCT, IChemE and ICC.
