- Summary
-
A Sunday market had been held in Cleethorpes from March to September in 1983. In 1984 an enforcement notice requiring markets and associated car parking not to be held 'on such Sundays which fall within the period of summer time in any year' was amended by the inspector by including a reference to the Summer Time Act 1972. The judge held that the wording of the notice was so hopelessly ambiguous as to render it a nullity. So it could not be amended.
