Summary

The appellant used land and buildings for the breeding and training of horses for show jumping. It was held that such use does not fall within 'breeding and keeping of livestock', because the words in brackets immediately after that phrase - '(including any creature kept for the production of food, wool, skins or fur, or for the purpose of its use in the farming of land)' - indicate that the horses must be for the purpose of farming if they are not kept for food or skins.
