Summary

Having concluded that all of the material terms of the contract were contained in two letters, the court found that this was sufficient to bring the contract within the provisions of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act. The defenders had argued that the Act required certainty in the agreed terms, which the two letters did not provide. The court did not agree with this interpretation.
