Summary

A party must set out its case with 'sufficient particularity', and state the nexus of causation/interaction of events with adequate clarity. Whilst a claimant may of course plead its claim on liability or quantum as it sees fit, the defendant is entitled to know what case it has to meet. 'Sufficient particularity' is a matter of fact and degree in each case; a balance must be struck between excessive particularity and basic information.
