© Philip Santo	A low level power point in a reception room. Similarly located power points in various parts of a property are a clear indication of an old installation. A full Electrical Installation Condition Report would be required to determine the state of the installation and any works required.
© Philip Santo	The original defective power point on the left has been removed, exposing rubber-encased cabling. A more recent power point on the right is served by PVC-encased cabling. The differences in wiring could not be seen by a surveyor, but the low position and close juxtaposition of the two sockets should sound an alarm.
