Biography

David Lewis MPhil MRICS FAAV MICFor FHEA is a qualified chartered surveyor, agricultural valuer and chartered forester. He currently works as a forestry consultant and has accrued more than 25 years' experience in forest management. He currently advises on the management of more than a 1,000 hectares of woodland in England. This role involves him in preparing forest management plans and budgets, forecasting future timber production and income, grant applications, felling licences, timber sales, new planting and restocking schemes. He also undertakes valuations and advises on sales, purchases and compensation issues. In addition to his consultancy work, he has lectured in Forest Management and Rural Estate Management at the Royal Agricultural University.
