Steve Harriott is Group Chief Executive of The Dispute Service Ltd (a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee). He has been Chief Executive since September 2010 following a period of management consultancy.
He has worked as chief executive of 3 housing associations as well as chairing a housing association and a regeneration charity. He is a Director of The Dispute Service Ltd, SafeDeposits Scotland Ltd, TDS Northern Ireland Ltd and a Trustee of the TDS Charitable Foundation.
He has worked as a Senior Lecturer in Housing at the University of Northumbia in Newcastle, has been an External Examiner for the Housing courses at the University of Greenwich and is currently an Examiner for NFoPP in relation to a number of their residential lettings qualifications.
Since March 2010 he has been the Chair of the Waterways Ombudsman Committee, which oversees the redress scheme for customers of the Canal and River Trust.

- Tenancy Deposit Scheme Northern Ireland (TDS Northern Ireland) which operates both insurance and custodial schemes;

The Dispute Service Ltd also provides finance, IT and dispute resolution services to SafeDeposits Scotland (a custodial scheme).
