BIM for facilities management

This section brings together a number of strands that converge in the concept of BIM-enabled facilities management. It begins by outlining the current approach to facilities management (FM), briefly defines Building Information Modelling (BIM) and then moves on to outline the core drivers of BIM-enabled FM.

This also involves explaining the associated values and challenges of implementing BIM-enabled FM, before exploring these issues more practically through a series of case examples.

This section is maintained by Christaline Wijekoon of Liverpool John Moores University.
