Tender price appraisal

Every client strives to get value for money. Correctly evaluating and appraising costs submitted in a tender is an essential tool in establishing ‘best value’ for the client.

The contractor that initially submits the lowest price may not always offer the best value or provide a fully compliant tender for contract award.

A quantity surveyor must analyse a tender to establish if the contractor has correctly priced the works and that the tender is fully compliant with the requirements of the tender documentation.
